Solar Thermal systems
Solar radiation is absorbed by panels on the roof, the heat energy is transferred the hot water cylinder giving you up to 70% of your hot water needs for free. You only need one panel for every 2 people in the house and the panels can fitted directly into the roof to be level with the tiles.
Installing the right system for you
It's important to be sure to specify a solar thermal system properly. We offer a free of charge heating system survey during which we will evaluate your present arrangement and give you advice on integrating a solar thermal system. A new cylinder will be required, whether this is an additional or a replacement cylinder will explained in the survey. We will leave you with a fixed price quotation detailing our proposed system and the estimated annual energy input expected.
Get paid for the hot water you produce
In October 2012 the government will introduce the Renewable Heat Incentive for solar thermal systems, this means you will be paid for the hot water energy you produce. In the mean time there is a £300 incentive for systems installed before then. All this and you will be reducing your CO2 emissions by up to 600kg per year. All the products we supply are Solar Keymark approved so they qualify for the Renewable Heat Incentive. We will handle all the paperwork and apply for the RHI grant payments for you both the interim payment and the long term payment when it starts.
5 year warranty for your peace of mind
Solar Thermal systems are supplied with an insurance backed 5 year warranty. Systems need very little maintenance, we offer an annual inspection during which we check the systems performance.
In fact, from the scaffolding being erected the installation will only take 2-3 days to complete and we will leave your property clean and tidy at the end of the installation.
